AmpCycle is a climate-tech startup transforming lithium-ion battery recycling through its proprietary electrochemical extraction technology that recovers lithium, cobalt and nickel with up to 98% efficiency and >99% purity, while consuming significantly less energy and fewer chemicals than conventional hydro- or pyrometallurgical processes. Its modular, plug-and-play recycling systems are designed for decentralized deployment, enabling faster scale-up and lower capex for EV, energy-storage and electronics waste streams.
With 20+ tonnes processed to date and technology validated by Crompton Greaves, Suzuki, Bajaj, Polaris and Embitel (Volkswagen Group), AmpCycle generates revenue through high-purity metal salt sales, modular plant deployments, consumables and software licensing. The company targets 40%+ gross margins | 25–30% net margins, and is scaling capacity toward 60+ tonnes annually as OEM scrap sourcing ramps up. Led by a multidisciplinary team of engineers with deep expertise in electrochemistry, machine design and automation, AmpCycle is positioned to become a next-generation leader in India’s $1B lithium-ion recycling market.
